Pain is a way of our body telling us that we injured our body or telling us there is something with our body. Pain orders you to change your behavior. Without the ability to feel pain, people may experience severe injury because your body is not responding to any discomfort. Without the warnings of pain, the effects of unchecked infections and injuries increase.
How do we experience pain? When we feel pain there are different nociceptor sensory receptors that can detect hurtful temperatures, pressure, or chemicals. The spinal cord contains a small nerve fibers that conduct most pain signal.
